Library management improvements and fixes

Libria makes library updates easier to stop and rebuild, with safer folder changes and clearer guidance when original files are unavailable.

  • You can safely stop a full rescan or change update in progress.
  • You can keep registered folders and original photos while rebuilding search, AI, face-analysis data, thumbnails, and caches.
  • Folder registration, removal, and relocation now update library records safely when other work is active.
  • Libria now shows guidance when an external drive or NAS is disconnected and an original file is unavailable.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent an original-file preview from appearing in photo details in some environments.
  • Fixed an issue that could show zero searchable photos even when on-device AI search was available.

Local-network connection with Libria Connect

Libria can now connect securely over the same local network to Libria Connect, the companion app for iPhone.

  • Added secure pairing with a QR code.
  • Mac-to-iPhone communication is protected with TLS.
  • Browse the photo grid and previews, or use regular search, SmartSearch, and on-device AI search from iPhone.
  • Save a selected original photo to the iPhone photo library.
